Jeremy Roenick and Gretzky’s bleeding head

One of the perennially big video games in Canada each fall, for obvious reasons, is the latest NHL hockey installment from Electronic Arts. I would have reviewed the latest game, NHL 12 - which came out this week - over on MSN but the shipping on it got messed up.

Instead, check out the interview I conducted with Jeremy Roenick at last month’s X-box holiday preview event here in Toronto. Roenick was a fine player until his retirement in 2009, but he’s something of a legend in video games for making Wayne Gretzky’s head bleed in the movie Swingers.

We discussed those various accomplishments in the interview below. If you’re the reading type, feel free to check out the transcript that ran over on MSN a few weeks ago.

He is certainly archetypal of those lumberjacks of the ice rinks.
According to game critics one of the main problem of the last year version was the management of the various screens (the collision aspect being improved).
